Three teams in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals for the 2023-2024 season will showcase the 'Visit Rwanda' campaign.
Since
last Monday until today, Wednesday, the matches of the UEFA Champions League
Round of 16 have been played to determine the 8 teams that will advance to the
quarterfinals.
As
of now, 6 teams have secured their spots, while the other 2 will be decided
tonight, with Atletico Madrid facing Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund playing
against PSV Eindhoven.
Among
the teams advancing to the quarterfinals, three of them will promote Visit
Rwanda, both on their jerseys and on the stadium advertising boards. The first
team is Arsenal, who recently defeated FC Porto in a penalty shootout with a
score of 4-2.
Since
2018, Rwanda has entered into a partnership with Arsenal Football Club in the
English Premier League, becoming their first-ever sleeve sponsor, promoting
'Visit Rwanda' on the team's sleeves for a period of 3 years, as well as on the
women's team.
The
second team is Paris Saint-Germain, who defeated Real Sociedad in the Round of
16. In 2019, Rwanda signed an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for them to
promote 'Visit Rwanda' on their warm-up shirts before matches.
The
third team is FC Bayern Munich, who defeated Lazio Roma in the Round of 16.
Rwanda has had a partnership with FC Bayern Munich for 5 years, as of May 27,
2023, where 'Visit Rwanda' is promoted in their stadium, Allianz Arena.
Paris-Germain, a team that already promotes Visit Rwanda, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2023/2024 Champions League
Arsenal, which showcases Visit Rwanda on its jersey, has also progressed to the quarterfinals
