Fiston Nyirigira who is a wholesaler and retailer of rice and Kawunga (Maize flour) in the market said that they have started following the new prices but implementing the new prices to the imported rice has been challenging, though.

The wholesaler said, “we have started following the new prices but it is still burdening for the imported rice," (trans). The imported rice include rice from Thailand, rice from Pakistan, rice from India and from Tanzania.

He added that rice that are being sold very much are rice from Rwanda, including Gikondo rice, Kigori rice, Lacky rice, and so on.
