President Duda of Poland tested positive for Covid-19

The Polish president Andrzej Duda, tested positive for the covid -19 as the virus makes a second wave across Europe which health experts had predicted.

On Saturday, the Spokesperson Blazej Spychalski said the President Duda tested positive covid-19 but is feeling well. 

Days prior to his testing the President 48 met with several high ranking officials of the government as well as different dignitaries in Europe who are yet to be tested to ascertain if they too contracted the virus.

Fears that more infections may rise up also comes from the fact that  President Duda attended an investment forum in Estonian Capital Tallinn on Monday and met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and other big personalities who are now in quarantine after knowing the news.


Deputy Health Minister of Poland, Waldemar Kraska announced on RMF Radio that “The President is a young man, I think that he will get past the infection without problems.”

Poland, as many other European countries, is facing a second wave of covid-19 and it’s not nearly to end. They are entering a partial lockdown and different other measures were taken to slow down the covid-19.


Among them are, closing restaurants where only takeaway meals will be provided; partial closure of Primary Schools; fitness clubs and pools to close again; …

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson; The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier; Bellarus president Alexander Lukashenko; Bolivia’s interim President Jeanine Anez; The Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei and The President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernandez.
