Congolese comedian Djassa Djassa who was in Rwanda in 2018 in ‘Life is Fun’ concert, has been invited to perform in ‘Studio Live’ concert which will take place in Rubavu, western province.
These concerts known as ‘Studio Live’ normally take place in Goma and Kinshasa in DRC, but for now it’s taking place in Rubavu, and from there it’s expected to happen in Kigali city among other places. In these concerts artists sing live music. The concert is expected on 23rd March 2019 at ‘Ne Mikel’, 200 meters from Umuganda stadium.
Turatsinze hamduni, director of Iris Music, in charge of organizing ‘studio live’ concerts; told inyarwanda.com that the concert’s main purpose is to support music and comedy talents in Rubavu. “we organized this event to show people of Rubavu that talents can be developed when supported, most of them may think that music is only produced in cities yet it’s not true. We have to show them that artists are there but need support and help to reach farther in their careers. That’s why we thought about ‘Studio Live’ concert because it will be a big help for upcoming artists to have a platform.”
Hamduni mentioned that they invited Djassa Djassa to entertain people and for upcoming comedians to learn from him. Apart from Djassa Djassa, artists like Pacifica, Fawaz, Bexx RHB from Rwanda And Jkm Patkwiz, Sisco Raggar from Congo will be performing too.
