Louise mushikiwabo,the Executive Secretary of OIF(Organisation international de la Francophonie) arrived in Burkina Faso on 27th February 2019, to attend FESPACO which is taking place in Ouagadougou.
It has been 50 years since FESPACO started in Burkina Faso. Louise
Mushikiwabo who replaced Michaelle Jean as the OIF Executive Secretary, arrived
in Burkina Faso where she met other different leaders who had turned up before
her. These are Nyirasafari Esperance, Minister of Sports and Culture, Dr
vuningoma James, the Director of RALC.
Joel Karekezi and Dusabejambo Clementine who attended the festival also have
movies that are competing in this festival. Rwanda was also represented by Mani
Martin, Miss Shanel and Urukerereza troupe in FESPACO.
Rwanda is the guest of honour in this festival which started on 23rd
February 2019. President Paul Kagame will be the next to reach Burkina Faso on
2nd March 2019 in a closing ceremony.
