Minister of sports and culture Madam Nyirasafari Esperance, attended FESPACO, a festival taking place in Burkina Faso. She is among the people who delivered speeches on the role of an African woman in the development of cinema.
FESPACO (Festival Panafricain du cinema et de la television de Ouagadougou) is a festival that takes place in the capital city of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou. This festival holds a competition of African made films only; this festival began in 1969 which means it’s now 50 years old.
Minister Nyirasafari delivered a speech during the celebration of 50 years of FESPACO
Minister Nyirasafari Esperance is among people who delivered their speeches in the festival during the celebration of its 50th anniversary this Tuesday 26th February 2019. She emphasized Rwanda’s need to help the cinema industry which is growing nowadays.

Apart from the minister of sports and culture in Rwanda Hon. Nyirasafari Esperance, the first lady of Burkina Faso, Audrey Azoulay head of UNESCO, Abdoulkarim Sango the minister of culture, had also attended the ceremony.
