Rwandan model and former beauty queen Charlotte Umulisa, popularly known as Princess Cici, has announced her engagement to her Polish boyfriend, Chris. The proposal took place on Sunday night, March 17, in Warsaw, Poland, where Umulisa currently resides and works as a model.
Speaking to InyaRwanda, Umulisa revealed that she and Chris have been in a relationship for over a year and have built a strong bond. She expressed her joy, stating that she has found someone special with whom she is ready to build a future. Following the engagement, the couple has already started planning their wedding, though no official date has been set.
Taking to Instagram, the former beauty queen
shared her excitement with her followers, saying, “From the first day we met, I knew you would make me the happiest girl
on this planet. I love you so much, Chris. I said YES!” Her heartfelt
message was accompanied by photos of her engagement ring, marking the beginning
of a new chapter in her life.
Umulisa was set to
represent Rwanda in the Miss
Supranational International 2022 pageant but withdrew at the last minute
after the Rwandan Ministry of Youth and
Arts Development suspended all beauty pageants, including Miss Rwanda.
Before that, she had competed in Miss
Warsaw, where she reached the Top
10 finalists.
She is the younger sister
of Uwase Clementine (Tina), who
previously represented Rwanda in Miss
Supranational 2018 and Miss
Elite 2020. Now engaged, Umulisa is embracing both love and success as
she continues to make strides in the international modeling industry.
