Rwandan artist and producer Element Eleeeh has arrived in Zanzibar, Tanzania, to attend the prestigious Trace Awards & Festival, which runs from February 24 to 26, 2025. The hitmaker, known for his latest release Milele, flew out of Kigali International Airport on Monday evening, ready to take part in the major African music celebration.
According to sources, Element Eleeeh was personally invited by Olivier Sanchez, the CEO of Trace Awards. He joins other Rwandan stars like Israel Mbonyi, Bruce Melodie, and Ross Kana, who are also attending the event. The awards, which feature 24 competitive categories, highlight some of the biggest names in African music, with Israel Mbonyi representing Rwanda in the Best Gospel Artist category.
While in Zanzibar, Element is set to film part of his upcoming
music video for “Tombe”. The artist had previously announced the song’s
release but needed to complete a section of the visuals. Shooting in Zanzibar
adds an exotic touch to the project, which fans eagerly anticipate before its
official launch.
This year’s Trace Awards lineup features top
African stars, including Rema, Diamond
Platnumz, Fally Ipupa, Joe Dwèt Filé, Zuchu, Yemi Alade, Black Sherif, and Ali
Kiba. The event will be hosted by Nigerian superstar D’Banj and TV personality Aaliyah Mohamed,
marking another milestone in African music history.
With the previous edition held in Kigali in 2023,
Trace Awards continue to cement their reputation as a major platform for
African music. The event will be broadcast live on Trace TV, ensuring global visibility for the continent’s top
artists and rising stars.
