Renowned gospel and traditional music artist Josh Ishimwe is gearing up for a major international performance as he joins Aline Gahongayire for the highly anticipated Ndashima Live Concert tour across Europe. The duo will first perform in Brussels, Belgium, marking a significant milestone in Josh Ishimwe’s music career.

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, Josh Ishimwe signed an official contract with Team Production, the company organizing the event. This deal ensures his participation in the concert, where he will share the stage with Aline Gahongayire in Belgium. Team Production, known for hosting top Rwandan artists like Bwiza and The Ben, continues to expand its support for Rwandan talent abroad.

Aline Gahongayire, a leading gospel artist in Rwanda, revealed that she personally chose Josh Ishimwe for this concert because of his unique talent and deep connection to traditional Rwandan music. "Josh is like a son to me," she said. "I admire his dedication to gospel music and his ability to represent our culture through traditional sounds. It’s important to keep our musical identity alive."

She also emphasized that while her style blends Blues and Jazz, she wanted someone who could bring a strong Rwandan touch to the performances. "We, as Christians, should uphold our culture. I’m not just going as Aline Gahongayire, but as an artist showcasing Rwandan talent. That’s why I chose Josh—he embodies the authenticity I wanted for this tour."

Josh Ishimwe, who rose to fame with gospel hits like Reka Ndate Imana Data and Amasezerano, started his musical journey in a church choir as a child. Over the past two years, he has gained popularity for blending gospel with traditional Rwandan rhythms. He credits artists like Yvan Ngenzi and René Patrick for helping him refine his sound.

As he prepares for his big international stage, Josh is excited about the doors this opportunity will open for his music career. "At first, I was unsure about how people would receive my music," he shared. "But this chance to perform in Belgium proves that gospel and traditional music have a place on the global stage."
