Junior Patrick, one of the promising young players in Rwandan Basketball, currently plays for UGB BBC and has high hopes of one day representing Rwanda's national team in the sport.
Growing up, many children
dream of reaching the peak of their aspirations. For some, that dream becomes a
reality, while others may struggle despite their best efforts. In an interview
with InyaRwanda, Junior shared that his dream is to play for the national
basketball team and to become a standout player for the country.
Junior's journey began at
Rafiki Kids, where he was soon spotted by APR BBC’s youth team. He quickly
realized his dream was within reach, as he began playing for their junior
squad. Later, he joined Karongi BBC in the second division, where the club
supported his education while honing his skills.
After a year, Junior moved to UGB BBC, determined to make his mark. Despite facing tough competition from foreign players and struggling for playing time, he remains confident that in five years, he will be a key player for both his team and the national squad.
