Rwandan artist Nemeye Platini, popularly known as Platini P, delivered a memorable concert in Arizona, USA, marking the start of his "Baba Experience" tour. The show, held on December 14, 2024, featured a star-studded lineup including Emmy, Scillah, Shaffy, and Charly of Charly & Nina.
Platini, who has been in the U.S. since December 10, plans to take his "Baba Experience" tour across several cities, following its successful launch in Rwanda earlier this year.
Organized in collaboration with The Mane Hub Entertainment, led by
producer Bad Rama, the Arizona event set the tone for what promises to be a
groundbreaking tour. “We witnessed overwhelming love and unity among Rwandans
in the diaspora and locals,” Bad Rama shared, emphasizing the importance of
supporting both emerging and established artists.
The concert also served
as a platform for Shaffy to debut his latest single, "Jumbe," while
Scillah and Emmy added to the electrifying atmosphere with their performances.
Platini headlined the event with a one-hour set featuring hits like "Magorwa,"
"Jeje," and tracks from his Dream Boys era. “The audience didn’t want
him to leave the stage,” Bad Rama noted, reflecting on the energy and
connection Platini brought to his fans.
To cap off the night, an
after-party allowed fans to interact with Platini in a more personal setting.
“Everything went smoothly, and I’m grateful to everyone who has supported this
journey from the beginning,” Platini said.
The tour continues with a
concert in Michigan on December 28, 2024, where Platini is expected to
introduce his new single "2009." The song recounts his musical
journey, from his Dream Boys days with TMC to his evolution as a solo artist.
Platini’s "Baba Experience" is set to bring his unique sound to
global audiences, uniting Rwandan music lovers across borders.
