Rwandan artist Shaffy, based in the United States, has announced that he is ready to release tracks from his debut album, despite a challenging and testing journey in its creation. On the evening of Wednesday, August 7, 2024, he teased the upcoming single "Bailanda," which will be part of his highly anticipated album.
Shaffy revealed that the album features collaborations
with several Rwandan artists, whose identities will be disclosed later.
"The album is complete, and I will be releasing each song individually.
There are eight tracks in total, but the artists involved will remain a secret
for now," he said.
Known for hits like "Akabanga," Shaffy
expressed his pride in reaching this milestone, stating that the album
encapsulates his entire music journey. "Creating this album has been a
tough journey, especially starting out in the Diaspora without the resources
most artists have. But I never let those challenges deter my passion," he
shared.
Shaffy's journey to this album has been filled with
determination and perseverance. He recalled how the song "Bana," a
collaboration with Chriss Eazy, required him to travel to Kigali to work with
Producer Element. "It wasn't easy, but hearing the finished product now,
knowing what I went through to make it happen, is incredibly rewarding,"
he said.
Shaffy announces the upcoming release of his debut
album's tracks.
"Bailanda" is one of the featured songs on
the album.
