The third edition of the 'SupraModel Rwanda' competition, known for nurturing modeling talent in Rwanda, is set to kick off. Registration is open until August 15, 2024. Participants must submit a full-length photo, name, height, and weight to the WhatsApp number 0789174056.
The winner of the
competition will receive 1 million Rwandan francs. This year, the event will
again combine fashion with tourism, as contestants visit various scenic spots
in the country.
A new feature this year
is that the competition will award top prizes to both a male and a female
model. Nsengiyumva Alphonse, head of SupraFamily Ltd, the event organizer,
explained that this change aims to revamp the competition by recognizing top
talents in both categories.
In previous editions, the
competition crowned Semana Cynthia and Mutesi Brend Lhi Hua as winners. Besides
the main prize, other awards include "People’s Choice," "Best
Commercial Model," and "Best Runway," with winners receiving
300,000 Rwandan francs each.
