On Thursday, June 27, 2024, Dr. Frank Habineza, the presidential candidate from the Green Party, continued his campaign activities in the Southern Province, specifically in the Busoro sector of Nyanza district. This marked the second site in the Southern Province that the Green Party candidate visited during his campaign trail.
Arriving at the site at 12:30 PM after traveling from Kigali through the Bugesera district in the Eastern Province, Dr. Habineza was welcomed by the local leader of Busoro, who stood in for the Nyanza district mayor. Dr. Habineza assured the local residents that his advocacy for the people was not for personal gain but to serve the public.
During his speech, Dr. Habineza reiterated his commitment to abolishing detention centers for the homeless, which he described as unjust. He emphasized that he is not in politics for personal benefits but to work for the people.
He also promised the establishment of the "Rwanda Agricultural Fund" to support farmers and livestock keepers, highlighting that the fund would provide low-interest loans to help start agricultural and livestock projects.
Dr. Habineza also addressed trade issues, promising to sign agreements with neighboring countries to prevent arbitrary border closures that negatively impact local economies. He assured the citizens that his administration would strengthen international relations to ensure continuous and stable cross-border trade.
