Gospel Sensation Habimana Dominique appointed as new Secretary General of RALGA

Habimana Dominique, a well-known gospel artist celebrated for his uplifting songs of praise and worship, has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Rwanda Association of Local Government Authorities (RALGA). The announcement was made via the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Local Government on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

This significant appointment follows the RALGA's 20th anniversary, marked by a ceremony attended by key stakeholders including the Minister of Local Government, Jean Claude Musabyimana, and other government officials. Dominique Habimana succeeds Ladislas Ngendahimana, who stepped down from his position in May 2024 after six years of service.

Prior to his role at RALGA, Habimana Dominique who holds a Master's Degree in Development Studies from University of Rwanda in 2014, served as the Governance Programme Officer at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Rwanda, where he contributed to developmental projects aimed at promoting good governance and cooperation.

Known for his dedication to spreading messages of peace and spiritual upliftment through music, Habimana Dominique has been a prominent figure in Rwanda's gospel music scene for years. His song "Turashaka Amahoro," released in 2015, reflects his passion for music as a tool for fostering peace and promoting cultural unity.
