Nel Ngabo Revamps Iconic Song 'Nywe' to Honor President Kagame's 30-Year Legacy

Nel Ngabo, an artist from Kina Music, has updated his beloved song "Nywe" to reflect on the President Paul Kagame's contributions to Rwanda over the past 30 years. The updated version, released on Tuesday night, June 4, 2024, has received widespread acclaim, has garnered praise from leaders and citizens alike for its powerful message.

Dr. Utumatwishima Abdallah, Minister of Youth and Arts Development, lauded the song on social media, highlighting its powerful tribute to Rwanda's progress and leadership. Similarly, Rwanda's Ambassador to the Netherlands, Olivier Nduhungirehe, expressed admiration for the song's timely and inspiring content.

Nel Ngabo explained that the song’s update was inspired by his admiration for President Kagame and aimed to support his upcoming presidential campaign. "I refreshed this song because I am, first and foremost, a fan of President Kagame. I wanted to contribute to his campaign and celebrate the remarkable achievements he has brought to Rwanda," Ngabo stated. 

The song, showcasing visuals of Rwanda’s development milestones, was written by Ishimwe Karake Clement and Danny Vumbi. Nel Ngabo, a leading artist of the new generation, considers "Nywe" a significant piece in his musical journey, reflecting the collective pride and aspirations of the Rwandan people.
