Renowned traditional music artist Cyusa Ibrahim has announced that he will no longer publicize his romantic relationships until he is ready to get married. This decision stems primarily from the scrutiny and criticism he faced after revealing his previous relationships.

Over the past two years, Cyusa has been a frequent topic in the media, especially following his public relationship with Jeanine Noach. Their relationship eventually ended, and many speculated that his song "Isengesho" was inspired by the experiences he had during that period.

When releasing "Isengesho," Cyusa shared that he wrote the song based on the challenging times he faced over the past two years. He alluded to being heavily criticized but did not provide specific details about what transpired.

Cyusa is currently preparing for his major concert, "Migabo Live Concert," set to take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, also known as Camp Kigali. This concert will be his first major performance.

In an interview with InyaRwanda, Cyusa mentioned that he recently released "Isengesho" because it will be a highlight of his upcoming concert. He described the song as a means of drawing closer to God during difficult times. “I faced a lot of criticism. Sometimes in life, you make decisions that others interpret differently. But everyone takes different paths, and criticism is inevitable," he said.

Reflecting on the past year, Cyusa noted it was particularly tough for him, with many people talking about him in various ways. He questioned why he seemed to be the target of so much negativity, which inspired the creation of "Isengesho."

When asked if the song was specifically about his time with Jeanine Noach, Cyusa responded that while those experiences might have played a part, the song was more broadly about a difficult period in his life that spanned late 2022 into early 2023.

Due to these challenging times, Cyusa released fewer songs than usual and often felt discouraged. However, he remains optimistic that things will improve with time.

Interestingly, many of those who criticized him have now become his fans. Speaking of Jeanine Noach, he acknowledged that she was just one of his past lovers, much like others before her. "Those times are over, and so is her time," he said.

Since his breakup with Jeanine Noach, Cyusa has kept his romantic life private. He stated that he will reveal his partner only when he is ready to marry. “I no longer want my love life to be the focus of public discussion. When the time comes, you will see me with a fiancée, and you will know a wedding is near,” he concluded.

Cyusa, famous for songs like "Marebe," is committed to keeping his personal life out of the spotlight until he is ready to announce a wedding. "You will hear about it or see it when I am ready to marry, and I will only announce it when the wedding is imminent," he added.
