Niyitegeka replied to those who asked when he will do the wedding- PHOTOS

It's one of the questions he's been asked in the media since he entered the film industry; It is an advantage after the films that built his name including 'Seburikoko' which has been broadcast on Television Rwanda for the past seven years, 'Papa Sava' and others.

Some YouTube channel owners have been taking photos of him marrying someone, then linking them to some of the actresses he usually works with or others, and publishing stories with headlines confirming that 'Papa Sava did the wedding.’

On September 15, 2021, YouTube channel Cornell Dish released a video titled “Did Papa Sava do a secret wedding? Here's what we learned about Papa Sava's wedding."

Even in Google search, it is difficult to find news about his marriage. But in the audio media or even on the internet, there were no reports that Niyitegeka Gratien was in love.

In September 2021, the actor-turned-poet told Translite Line: "I feel like I'm alive without any problems, the machine at 5 o'clock, the thoughts that lead you to the girl you feel like are also there."

At that time, he said that he was late to get married because he first wanted to earn money and decide who he would marry from time to time.

On the night of Thursday, July 14, 2023, Niyitegeka was the guest of honor at the comedy show known as 'Gen-z Comedy' held at the Mundi Center, where he talked to the audience with a lot of humor.

He was asked various questions based on his artistic journey, how he left the teaching profession, until he was asked when he will get married.

This man, who is considered the king of comedy in Rwanda, gave a mixed response: "You have a mother who kisses your father [After giving this answer, he laughed and collapsed]." He continued, "If there's anyone here who's worried because his mom is lying, you're going to come and help me in some way [He claps and laughs]."

Niyitegeka  revealed the origin of the movie 'Papa Sava' which made him famous

He has been in cinema for more than 15 years, so some of the comedians who appeared in this show, have come back to him saying that they were born in cinema.

He is popular in movies through the names that have opened doors for him including Sekaganda. This man who was born in Rulindo District became a household name in Rwanda, and due to the effort he put into his journey he won countless trophies.

Niyitegeka said that in 2008 it was the first time he decided to stop teaching in secondary schools.

It is a decision he took mainly on the reforms made in Education, which includes going from studying in French, and students start studying in English.

This man grew up wanting to study music, drama and dance, but he was not interested because he studied humanities in high school.

He remembers that in 2013, he was called by Umurugyo Imbuto Foundation and they asked him to compose a poem of his own 'on decency' for children between the ages of 6 and 12. It was in order to wish the children a good end to the year 2013 and a good start to 2014.

Niyitegeka said that he received a lot of money from Imbuto Foundation. He said that the money he chose was used to buy elections. He said, "That's when I said that I should retire from teaching and go into art."

The man said that he started his journey in cinema since then, until he appeared in the biggest movies in Rwanda.

Niyitegeka said that when the movie 'Seburikoko' started airing on Television Rwanda, the actors in the movie won a lot of awards.

He said that at that time he won a lot of prizes and kept them in his locker, but there was something like a rivalry between the players, where one would win the trophy and the other would leave him an eye. He said, "You know how to take the trophy and pass the people."

He says that at that time in the movie 'Seburikoko' they couldn't have more than 12 actors. And because he was the main actor, the movie was named after him.

He says that at that time some of his acquaintances started asking him to cast him in the film and 'I don't have the ability to cast anyone'.

He said, “You know how to start arguing with people when you are younger. Eeeeh, things are yours, you don't want to raise the family, otherwise the family was waiting for me to raise it when I wasn't born.”

He said he took the time to think of other places where people could show off their talent without having to endure it.

Niyitegeka said that he consulted 'Clapton' about the film he was about to start, and they also discussed the actors he could use.

He also says that one of the factors that led him to launch the movie 'Papa Sava' included the fact that there were ideas he gave as an artist that could be used in this movie 'Seburikoko' but he thought that it would be implemented and he gave up.

He said that he started the film 'Papa Sava' when he already had a YouTube channel, and he wanted to create a work that had a cultural connection.

He says that when he started working on this movie, there were people who told him that it would not exceed 700 episodes, and now he is preparing for it to exceed 1000 episodes.

It is a self-confessed rule that no one should lose sleep because they are not married yet

He says that there is no giving up in the journey of life, because it requires planning
