Rwandan artists, Ben Kayiranga, Jules Sentore, and Angel & Pamella are among expected in France, from where they will sing in activities of assembly of African artists, called “Rencontres Nyirarumaga des littératures Africans."
The assembly will take place from the 8th of June to the 10th
of June, 2023, aiming at gathering together authors originated from Rwanda for
their arts to reach the international stage and getting briefs about economic benefits
hidden in authoring.
This will be a great moment to display the role of authors to the development of Rwanda after the genocide against Tutsi in 1994, either to citizens inside the country and to those abroad.
Generally, this assembly gathers together people with unique artistic talents built on their country’s traditions. It gathers together theaters, DJs, various delegates, church leaders, comedians, teachers, and so many others.
On this meeting’s agenda, there will be an official launch of the assembly on June on the 8th, 2023, at 11AM. This official launch ceremony will be characterized by entertainment sessions, including music, dance, the role of Itorero in teaching cultural values, poems, and so on.
On Friday, the 9th of June, 2023, there will be activities regarding the gathering of “Rencontres Nyirarumaga des littératures Africans”, such as Rwandan theatres, music, Itorero, and Michael Sengazi, a comedian to ‘Did You Say Sex,' comedy.
On Saturday, the 10th of June, 2023, there will be a tradition dance (igitaramo cy’itorero), from where traditional dancers will perform, etc.
More than this, various officials and delegates will show up, mainly Rwanda's Ambassador to France, Francois Nkulikiyimfura, Munyandamutsa Jean Paul, delegates from MINIUBUMWE, Twahirwa Aimable, leader of Centre Culturel Rwandais Igicumbi, leader of Rwanda Arts Initiative, Dorcy Rugamba, Emmanuel Dermacy-Mota, and many others.
“Rencontres Nyirarumaga des littératures Africans” will be led by Ben Kayiranga and Uwizihiwe Charles [from Itorero Ingagare] who are presently in France, Jules Sentore, a group of Ange and Pamela, Ndayambaje Peace Chant, Rwivanga Benoi, commonly known as Kipetit, Herve Twahirwa and Producer Didier Touch.
Rencontres Nyirarumaga des littératures Africans will take place from the 8th of June, 2023 to the 10th of June, 2023.
Jules Sentore also known for ‘Mama’, ‘Agafoto’,
Angel and Pamela who are known in ‘Rusengo’ song are awaited in France
Ben Kayiranga whose songs include, 'Ngwino' and 'Only You' featuring The Ben will sing during the assembly.
