Rayon Sports president, Twagirayezu Thaddée, has announced that the club will bring in a Rwandan assistant coach who is familiar with the league. He also commented on Mukura VS, stating that they will not defeat them again
He made these remarks on Sunday while
speaking to Rwanda Magazine during a visit
to striker Fall Ngagne, who recently underwent surgery due to an injury.
The president of
Rayon Sports emphasized that the team needs 24 points to secure the
championship. He also confirmed that in the coming days, they will introduce a
Rwandan assistant coach who has experience in the league.
"We need 24
points to win the league title, and that is our main goal. The assistant coach
will be joining us soon, and he will be present in our next game. We decided to
bring in a coach who already knows the league instead of hiring someone from abroad
who would need time to learn it. We want a coach who understands the league so
he can continue with our current momentum, rather than someone who has to start
from scratch," he stated.
Regarding the
national team break, Twagirayezu mentioned that Rayon Sports will play friendly
matches, although the exact details are still being arranged.
"We
haven't finalized everything yet, but we won’t go through this break without
playing friendly matches. If we play only a few, they won’t be fewer than two.
This will also help us assess the players and give them opportunities to
showcase themselves," he added.
Speaking about
their upcoming match against Mukura VS, Twagirayezu expressed confidence that
they will not lose again.
"I don’t
think Mukura VS will beat us twice; that would be a surprise. We are
well-prepared, and as we go into this break, I believe Mukura VS will not
defeat Rayon Sports again. It’s not possible," he said.
Twagirayezu
also appreciated the fans who took the initiative to visit Fall Ngagne, describing
it as a heartwarming gesture.
"I was
deeply touched by this initiative. Rayon Sports fans visited Fall Ngagne, and
he was happy to be with his teammates. They brought him valuable support, and
it was all about love and joy. Rayon Sports is about love, and I encourage all
fans to show such support, not only to injured players but to everyone in
need," he said.
He reassured
that the club has been fully supporting Fall Ngagne through his medical
treatment and surgery, which have gone well.
"We have
stood by Fall Ngagne, took care of his treatment, and ensured his surgery was
successful. The costs were high, but Rayon Sports covered everything. Now he
has started walking again, and he has even put aside his crutches. Things are
looking good, and I can assure Rayon Sports fans that he will be available next
season," he confirmed.
Currently, Rayon Sports leads the league table with 46 points, four points ahead of second-placed APR FC.
The president of Rayon Sports confirmed that they will appoint a Rwandan assistant coach.
