APR FC is set to face Gasogi United once again in the quarterfinals of the Peace Cup, a clash reminiscent of last year when Gasogi knocked the army team out of the competition.
While the case between Gorilla FC
and City Boys remains unresolved in the Round of 16, seven teams have already
secured their spots in the quarterfinals. These teams include Rayon Sports, APR
FC, Gasogi United, Police FC, AS Kigali, Mukura VS, and Amagaju.
The quarterfinals promise
thrilling encounters, with some rival teams facing off and others meeting again
with unfinished business from previous matches.
APR FC vs. Gasogi United: APR FC
will take on Gasogi United, still fueled by the disappointment of last season’s
elimination at the hands of Gasogi at the same quarterfinal stage.
AS Kigali vs. Police FC: This
encounter features two teams familiar with Peace Cup glory. Police FC are the
defending champions, having lifted the trophy last season. On the other hand,
AS Kigali is determined to reclaim the title this year, as it's one of their
top priorities.
Amagaju vs. Mukura VS: Both
teams, sharing Huye International Stadium as their home ground, will battle for
a place in the semifinals. Fans are eager to see which side will advance to the
next stage.
Sports will face the winner of
the pending tie between Gorilla FC and City Boys.
