Rayon Sports Football Club is in the final stages of negotiations to sign Ugandan striker Bayo Aziz Fahad.
The 26-year-old forward has been a
free agent for five months following his departure from MFK Vyškov, a
second-division club in the Czech Republic. Reports indicate that he was among
the players targeted by APR FC before they signed Hakim Kiwanuka and Denis
Omedi.
Bayo Aziz, who is nearing a
six-month deal with Rayon Sports, is a regular call-up for the Uganda National
Team. He recently scored one goal in four matches during the 2026 FIFA World
Cup qualifiers.
Before joining MFK Vyškov, Bayo Aziz
played for Vipers SC, where he had an outstanding 2019/2020 season, scoring 15
goals in 24 matches. During his time with the Vipers, he helped the team win
the Ugandan Premier League title and the Super Cup.
If the deal is finalized, Bayo Aziz
will strengthen Rayon Sports' attacking lineup, joining forces with forward
Fall Ngagne, who was instrumental in the team's impressive performance in the
first half of the season. Rayon Sports currently leads the Rwanda Premier
League standings with 36 points.
