Rwandan artist Nemeye Platini [Platini P], has announced his upcoming tour in the United States, titled the "Baba Experience." The series of concerts will take place in December 2024, starting in Arizona, Kentucky, and Michigan. Platini shared his excitement about reconnecting with fans and music lovers in the U.S. through this special tour.
In March 2024, Platini
held the first "Baba Experience" concert in Kigali at the Kigali
Conference and Exhibition Village, also known as Camp Kigali. The event brought
together fellow artists who have supported him throughout his 10-year music
journey. Building on that success, he is now set to take the experience to his
fans abroad. “I’m looking forward to giving my U.S. fans the same energy I
shared with my Rwandan fans in March," Platini said. "There are more
cities to be announced soon.”
Platini explained that
the "Baba Experience" tour is a celebration of his three years as an
independent artist, as well as over 15 years in the music industry, including
his time with Dream Boys. "I’ve performed at many shows for other artists,
but this time, I’m doing something for myself and my fans, where I can fully
connect with them," he added.
The artist recently released
an EP titled 'Baba', featuring tracks like 'Slay Mama', 'Toroma' (featuring
Eddy Kenzo), 'Mbega Byiza', and 'Selfie' (featuring Remmy Adan). He shared that
'Slay Mama' is a tribute to women who strive for self-improvement, particularly
single mothers. "It’s about women who have fought hard to make life
work," Platini explained.
Platini's three-year solo
career has seen him release numerous hit songs, including 'Veronika',
'Atansiyo', 'Helena', 'Shumuleta', and 'Ikosa' (featuring Big Fizzo), further
cementing his place as one of Rwanda’s top artists.
