Five Rwandans, including renowned artist The Ben and former Miss Rwanda Mutesi Jolly, have been nominated for the highly regarded Zikomo Africa Awards. The awards, now in their fourth edition, will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, later this year.
Among the nominees is The
Ben, who is vying for the title of 'Best Zikomo Male Artist of The Year'.
Rising star Bwiza Emerance is also in the running for Best Zikomo Female Artist
of The Year.
Dj Sonia, another
prominent figure, has been nominated for Best Zikomo Female Dj of The Year,
recognizing her exceptional skills in the music scene. Meanwhile, journalist
Mutesi Scovia has secured a nomination for Best Zikomo Inspirational Woman of
The Year.
Mutesi Jolly, Miss Rwanda
2016, is contending in the Best Zikomo Social Impact of The Year category,
marking her second consecutive nomination after winning the Inspirational Woman
award in 2023.
The awards ceremony will
take place on November 30, 2024, although the specific venue in South Africa
has yet to be announced.
