Rwandan songstress Butera Knowless, accompanied by her husband and music producer, Clement Ishimwe, has embarked on a trip to the United States for a highly anticipated performance. The concert is organized by the Global Livingston Institute and will take place in Colorado on October 10, 2024.

The couple, along with fellow musician Nel Ngabo, departed from Kigali International Airport on Monday, October 7, 2024. This marks Knowless' second international tour in 2024, following a successful tour across Europe in August.

Her upcoming performance in the U.S. is part of an ongoing collaboration between Global Livingston Institute and Kina Music, the music label that represents Knowless. The two organizations have previously partnered on the ‘Tour du Rwanda Festival’ concerts.

The concert aims to raise funds for various charitable projects run by the Global Livingston Institute, primarily focused on supporting communities in Africa, including Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya.

Knowless expressed her excitement about the opportunity to perform in the U.S., saying, "I'm thrilled to showcase my talent to an international audience, particularly as this is my first time working with them in the U.S."

In preparation for the event, Knowless traveled with her band members and explained that they will also collaborate with musicians based in the U.S. "We have a complete team ready to deliver an unforgettable performance," she said.

The artist noted that her partnership with Global Livingston Institute has been long-standing, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to supporting artists and youth in Africa.

When asked about her future projects, Knowless revealed that she is working on new music, with plans to release either a single or a new album in the coming months. She reassured her fans that despite the busy schedule, exciting music is on the way.

As for the possibility of recording music in the U.S., Knowless hinted that her trip could lead to new collaborations and music productions, stating, "It’s very likely that I might record while I'm there. Stay tuned!"
