Kenyan Afro-pop sensation, Sauti Sol, has announced they will be performing in Kigali as part of their "Sol Fest" tour. The event, scheduled for October 18, 2024, at Kigali Universe, marks a celebratory stop ahead of their final concert in Kenya, where they’ll officially wrap up 17 years of unforgettable music.

Sol, composed of Bien-Aimé Baraza, Savara, Fancy Fingers, and Chimano, have
left an indelible mark on African music, captivating millions worldwide,
including fans in Rwanda. This concert in Kigali will be extra special as they
reunite with local fans after three years and following Bien-Aimé's recent
collaboration with Bruce Melodie on the hit song "Iyo Foto."
The
"Sol Fest" concert will feature solo performances from each band
member, as well as group hits, and they will share the stage with talented
local acts like Mike Kayihura, Ariel Wayz, DJ June, Nicolas Peks, and DJ Sonia.
Tickets are priced at 1000 Frw for regular seats and 5000 Frw for pre-sale
tickets.

Sol’s last performance in Kigali was in September 2022, and they have since
continued to charm audiences with their blend of Afro-pop and soulful melodies.
In November 2023, they held a farewell concert in Nairobi, which was met with
overwhelming fan support, leading to the continuation of their farewell tour.
Known
for hits like "Nerea," "Live and Die in Africa," and
"Unconditionally Bae," Sauti Sol’s influence spans not just music,
but also cultural ties, including participating in Rwanda's Kwita Izina gorilla
naming ceremony. Their "Sol Fest" in Kigali is expected to be an
emotional and energetic celebration of their journey in African music.
In November 2023, Sauti Sol decided to part ways after 17 years, following a series of major concerts in Rwanda.
