These awards, now celebrating their 10th anniversary, play a crucial role in promoting African artists globally.
The
nominations, announced on September 30, 2024, include Okkama for "Best New
Artist/Group," The Ben for "Best Male Artist - East/South/North
Africa," and Israel Mbonyi for "Best Gospel Artist." The online
voting opens on November 2, 2024, and fans are encouraged to participate.
In
addition to the music categories, Rwandan video director Nkotanyi Fleury, known
for his work with artists like Ariel Wayz, has been nominated for "Video
Director of the Year." The awards ceremony will take place on November 9,
2024, at the Hilton Hotel Newark Airport, USA.
Before
the main event, a fashion show will be held on November 8, 2024, celebrating
African culture and creativity. The AEAUSA awards aim to uplift African artists
and showcase their talent on a global stage.
