Rwandan music star The Ben is making headlines after releasing his new album Plenty Love—but it's not just the music that has people talking. The singer and his wife, Uwicyeza Pamella, are reportedly planning to welcome their first child in Canada, where The Ben is set to perform in February and March 2025.

Sources reveal that The Ben and Pamella, currently in Tanzania, are preparing to travel to Canada, where they have already applied for permission to give birth. With Pamella’s due date expected around March 10, 2025, the couple sees this as an opportunity to combine The Ben’s tour schedule with their personal plans.

In Rwandan culture, there’s a saying: "Hitting two birds with one stone." That seems to be exactly what The Ben is doing—continuing his music career while ensuring he is by his wife's side as they prepare to welcome their child in Canada.

The country offers numerous benefits for children born on its soil, including automatic citizenship, access to quality healthcare, and top-tier education opportunities.

According to reports, Canada’s citizenship laws allow any child born there to receive Canadian nationality, regardless of their parents' origins. This could open up future opportunities for The Ben’s child, including better job prospects and global mobility. Additionally, Canada’s healthcare system is among the best in the world, ensuring top-level medical care for both Pamella and the baby.

For this plan to succeed, the couple must meet certain immigration and medical requirements, including having a valid visa, proof of financial stability, travel insurance, and a medical certificate confirming a healthy pregnancy. They will also need to book a hospital or birthing center in advance.

Meanwhile, The Ben’s Plenty Love tour is set to kick off on February 14, 2025, in Montreal, before making stops in Ottawa, Toronto, and Edmonton, concluding on March 1, 2025. After his Canada tour, The Ben is expected to continue performing in the U.S., Europe, and Africa.
