The rivalry between two of Rwanda’s biggest music stars, The Ben and Bruce Melodie, is heating up as they both prepare to release new albums and hold major concerts. The Ben, who will release his third album on January 1, 2024, at BK Arena, faces competition from Bruce Melodie who is also planning to drop his album soon and perform for his fans.
This isn’t the first time
the two have clashed. When The Ben held a concert at BK Arena in the past, it
coincided with other events in Kigali, allegedly organized by rivals to
sabotage his show. However, The Ben’s team successfully countered the challenges,
ensuring the concert’s success despite the competition.
Both artists have strong
fan bases, but their appeal differs. The Ben is known for his broad appeal
across different age groups, while Bruce Melodie mainly captivates younger
audiences. The question remains: will they both be able to attract massive
crowds for their upcoming events?
Their collaborations with
international artists, such as The Ben’s work with Diamond Platnumz and Bruce
Melodie’s track with Shaggy, add another layer of excitement. As they gear up
for their concerts, fans are eagerly watching to see who will dominate Rwanda’s
music scene.
This Friday, The Ben will
release his new song titled "Plenty"
Bruce Melodie has been
working on a new album set to drop soon
