Renowned Nigerian politician Peter Gregory Obi has touched down in Kigali to attend the highly anticipated Silver Gala, organized by international Rwandan dancer Sherrie Silver. The event, set to shake up Rwanda’s entertainment scene, will take place on September 7, 2024, at the Kigali Convention Centre.

Obi, a prominent political figure and former Nigerian presidential candidate,
is among the global celebrities expected to grace the Silver Gala. His arrival has
created a buzz, with Sherrie Silver personally welcoming him at Kigali

Obi,
63, served as Governor of Anambra State in Nigeria from 2007 to 2014, during
President Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure. His continued influence in Nigerian
politics was evident during the recent presidential elections, where he was a
frontrunner.
Although
he lost the 2023 election to President Bola Tinubo, Obi remains a respected
figure, having garnered over 6 million votes in the race. His presence at the
Silver Gala is a testament to the global appeal of the event.
