Dr. Faustin Ntezilyayo, born on August 20, 1962, holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Antwerp, Belgium (1994). With over 35 years of experience, his career includes roles such as Minister of Justice, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda, and Director General of RURA.
An expert in law and governance, Dr. Ntezilyayo has also taught at universities in Rwanda, the United States, and Canada. He was appointed Chief Justice on December 6, 2019, and has been a key figure in legal reforms and advisory roles throughout his career.
