Award-Winning and Pursuing a PhD: Israel Mbonyi Returns to Kigali with Praises

Renowned gospel artist Israel Mbonyi returned to Kigali, Rwanda, with an award following a successful concert in Belgium. Mbonyi, famous for his hit song "Nina Siri," landed at Kigali International Airport on this Wednesday, June 19, 2024, after delivering a memorable performance in Europe.

This was his second concert in Belgium, during which he also launched his new album “Nk’umusirikare.” The album features "Nina Siri," a song that has garnered over 50 million views on YouTube. Mbonyi expressed his gratitude for the support and love he received from his fans in Belgium, describing the concert as a significant and blessed event.

During an interview with InyaRwanda, Mbonyi shared his joy and appreciation for the remarkable experience in Belgium. "I thank God immensely! The blessings I received in Belgium were incredible. 

The people there are loving and supportive, and they attended the concert in large numbers. We witnessed miracles, healings, and immense joy," he said. He emphasized that the love shown by his Belgian fans makes the country feel like a second home, and he looks forward to future performances there.

At the concert, Mbonyi was honored with an award by the Mayor of Brussels, Philippe Close. The award, presented by Team Production, recognized him as one of the most popular East African artists in Europe. 

Mbonyi expressed his surprise and gratitude for the unexpected recognition, attributing his success to God's grace and the support of his fans. He also announced upcoming concerts in Uganda and Kenya, promising to continue spreading his message and connecting with fans across East Africa.
