Rwandan presidential candidate Paul Kagame, representing the RPF-Inkotanyi, cast his vote in Gasabo District, Kigali City.

At around 1 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024, Kagame and his wife, Jeannette Kagame, arrived at the Kagugu polling station. Upon arrival, they greeted those present and joined the queue like other voters. When it was their turn, Kagame presented his ID and followed the voting procedure.

Earlier in the day, Kagame's two sons, Ivan Cyomoro Kagame and Captain Ian Kagame, also cast their votes at Kagugu, along with his daughter, Ange Ingabire Kagame, who was accompanied by her husband.

Voting is scheduled to conclude at 3 PM, after which vote counting will begin for the presidential and parliamentary candidates. Special elections for representatives of women, youth, and persons with disabilities will be held on July 16, 2024.

Preliminary election results are expected to be announced tonight, with a voter turnout anticipated to exceed 60-70%. The final official results for both the presidential and parliamentary elections will be declared on July 27, 2024.
