Miss Yvonne says some Rwandan females scared to partake in Miss World Supranational contest owing to fearing public criticism.
Dr. Yvonne
Uwamahoro addressed 20 contestants and advised them that whoever will be
selected to represent the country in Poland for Miss World Supranational competition
due in December 2019, should have self-confidence and ignore discouraging criticism
from public.
In 2012, Simbi
Kubwimana represented the country in Miss World Supranational, 2013 Miss
Umutesi Aurore, 2014 Neema Larissa Umwali, 2015 Sonia Gisa, 2016 Colombe
Akiwacu, 2017 Habiba Ingabire, 2018 Clementine.
Speaking in
interview with INYARWANDA Miss Yvonne advised a contender who will be chosen to
represent Rwanda that she has to be confident and fight for hoisting the
country's flag higher.
'' She has to be
fearless despite tough contest, she will encounter with other competitors who
have different personality and culture. I encourage her to maintain winning spirit
and to never feel nervous because she has to do her best to make it,'' she
advised.
'' Don't be
discouraged if media or people post negative comment but focus on what will
have brought you there,'' she warned.
Some of previous
contestants disclosed that they were ashamed of negative criticism until they
denied being photographed in order to impair bad criticism from people.
Few days ago, it
was alleged that made in Rwanda outfit 'Bikini' will be used in a bid to cool
down the criticism but still it was never confirmed.
