Jaspreet Chatte wins the Airtel Rwanda sponsored Mountain Gorilla Rally. Jaspreet Chatte emerged as the winner of the tightly contested 2015 Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally. The Rally that lasted two days was mainly sponsored by Airtel Rwanda along other brands in partnership with the Rwanda Automobile Club.

Flagging off at Umubano Hotel, Rally had an entry of twenty drivers most of whom were from Uganda. The Uganda team was led by Jon Consta and Desh Kananura who came 4th and 5th respectively.

The Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally was the 5th stage of this year’s Africa Rally Championship. Airtel Rwanda is no stranger to the field of sports. At Airtel, one of its core corporate social responsibilities is the support and development of sports in society. Airtel has been supporting sports in Rwanda notably which is the just concluded Airtel Rising Stars where U-17 boys and girls were competing in a football tournament to be the champions of the nation.

“We are keen on sports development and we have supported the Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally with this same notion that we have partnered with Rwanda Automobile Club to support the rally.
