The 2024 Peace Cup has reached the 1/8 finals, and the matchups are now set. APR FC is scheduled to face Musanze FC, while their arch-rivals Rayon Sports will go head-to-head with Rutsiro FC.
The draw took place on Friday,
January 24, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the headquarters of the Rwanda Football
Federation (FERWAFA) in Remera.
Eight teams that advanced past the
preliminary round of the Peace Cup were drawn against another set of eight
teams that had automatically qualified for this stage due to their strong
performances in the previous tournament, where they all reached the
quarterfinals.
The standout fixture of the 1/8 finals
will feature the match between Musanze FC and APR FC, as they battle for a spot
in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Police FC, the defending
champions who claimed the title after defeating Bugesera FC in the last final,
have been drawn against Nyanza FC.
The first-leg matches are scheduled
for February 11 and 12, 2024, with the return legs set to take place on
February 18 and 19.
