As usual, every Monday, InyaRwanda provides a roundup of how Rwandan players abroad fared in the past week. These updates were compiled by Aloys Niyonyungu.
On Saturday, AFC Leopards, featuring Rwandan
forward Gitego Arthur, lost 4-2 to FC Talanta. Gitego did not start the match
and was not used as a substitute. Currently, AFC Leopards sit 8th in the league
standings and will face KCB on Wednesday this week.
In the Libyan Premier League on Friday, Al
Ahly Tripoli, where defender Manzi Thierry plays, secured a 3-0 win against Al
Watan. However, Thierry did not feature in the match due to an injury. Al Ahly
Tripoli remains top of the league and will play Al Khuma on Thursday.
On Sunday, Stade Tunisien, featuring Mugisha
Bonheur, drew 1-1 against Zarzis in the Tunisian Premier League. Mugisha
started the match and scored his team’s only goal in the 21st minute, his third
since joining the club. Stade Tunisien is first in the standings and will face
Metlaoui on February 1.
On the same day, Olympique de Beja, with
Ishimwe Anicet, lost 2-0 to ES Sahel. Anicet started but was substituted in the
57th minute. Olympique de Beja sits 8th and will face Esperance on Wednesday.
On Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs, featuring Ntwari
Fiacre, defeated Sekhukhune United F.C. 1-0 in the South African Premier
League. Ntwari was on the bench but did not play. Kaizer Chiefs are 5th in the
standings and will play Free Agents on Sunday.
On Saturday, FC Zira, with Mutsinzi Ange,
beat Araz-Naxçıvan 1-0 in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Mutsinzi played the
full match. FC Zira currently sits 3rd and will face Samaxi on Friday.
On the same day, Sabail, recently joined by
Nshuti Innocent, lost 2-0 to Sumqayit. Nshuti made his debut, coming on as a
substitute in the 71st minute. Sabail remains at the bottom of the table and
will play Kepez on Saturday.
In the Cypriot First Division on Sunday, AEL
Limassol, featuring Imanishimwe Emmanuel Manguende, drew 0-0 against Ethnikos.
Emmanuel was not included in the squad. AEL Limassol sits 9th and will face Nea
Salamina on Friday.
On Saturday, in the Belgian Second Division,
Raal La Louviere, with Samuel Gueulette, drew 2-2 against RSCA Futures U23.
Samuel was not included in the matchday squad. Raal La Louviere is 2nd in the
standings and will face Club NXT U23 on Sunday.
In the Belgian First Division on Saturday, Beerschot, featuring Hakim Sahabo, lost 4-2 to Club Brugge. Hakim made his debut, coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute. Beerschot remains at the bottom of the standings and will face Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.
