Laura Sarah, representing Rwanda, secured the First Runner-Up title at the Miss Africa Golden International 2024 competition. Ritha Alex from Tanzania was crowned the overall winner in a glamorous ceremony held at the Lekki Center Hall in Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
This year marked the
second edition of the pageant, bringing together contestants from across
Africa. Victoria Teniola from Australia was named the Second Runner-Up,
completing the trio of honorees in this prestigious event.
The event, which was
broadcast live, saw Laura Sarah take the stage to express her gratitude to
everyone who supported her. Laura, who previously held the title of Rwanda’s
Global Top Model, earned her place in the competition through her continued
excellence in the modeling world.
Miss Africa Golden
International is a platform for women of African descent worldwide, including
those with Afro roots from outside the continent. The competition emphasizes
creating opportunities for its winners beyond just holding the title. The
organization ensures that winners represent their countries in global
competitions like Miss Universe, Miss World, and World Next Top Model.
The journey for the
crowned Miss Africa Golden 2024 is just beginning. She will represent her
country in the World Next Top Model 2025 competition set to take place in
Beirut, Lebanon, in May 2025. The organization covers all expenses, including
travel and accommodation, for such international endeavors.
This year’s competition,
running from November 24 to December 1, 2024, showcased the immense talent and
beauty across the African continent, with participants set to return to their
home countries on December 3, 2024.
