Rwandan gospel artist Meddy (Ngabo Medard Jobert) is set to launch a powerful worship tour across Canada, named “Worship and Testimonies.” The tour, kicking off in December 2024, will see Meddy performing alongside popular gospel artists, including Gentil Misigaro, Patient Bizimana, Serge Iyamuremye, and Adrien Misigaro.

This marks Meddy’s first collaborative tour with Gentil Misigaro, a prominent figure in Canadian gospel music, and he looks forward to sharing the stage with his long-time friend Adrien Misigaro.

“This tour is about bringing people closer to Christ through worship and personal stories,” Meddy shared. “We’re gathering a team of passionate artists who share the same vision, and it’s an honor to work with friends like Adrien and talented voices like Gentil.”

Adrien Misigaro, with whom Meddy shares a deep friendship, has been instrumental in Meddy’s journey, especially during his early gospel music years in the U.S., where they collaborated on the hit song “Niyo Ndirimbo.”

The tour will begin on December 14 in Montreal, continue to Toronto on December 15, and move to Ottawa on December 22. Organizer Kwizera Philbert confirmed that this series would extend to Vancouver and Edmonton, where Meddy will also be joined by Patient Bizimana and Serge Iyamuremye. “Patient and Serge will perform with us in Edmonton and Vancouver to reach more audiences across Canada,” Kwizera said, hinting at potential shows in Calgary and Winnipeg based on popular demand.

Gentil Misigaro, known for his hit “Buri Munsi,” is particularly excited to perform in familiar Canadian cities. Meddy chose him not only for his impactful worship style but also because he is well-acquainted with the local audiences. Kwizera noted that Gentil’s presence will add a special connection to the Canadian gospel community, making the tour an anticipated event in each city.

This tour also revives Meddy’s strong foundation in gospel music and his passion for inspiring African youth to seek spiritual growth. "My focus is to share my faith and journey with young people, and this tour is a perfect platform to do that," Meddy expressed, underscoring his commitment to gospel as a central part of his music career.

Tickets for Meddy’s “Worship and Testimonies” tour are already generating interest. With the lineup of celebrated artists and Meddy’s message of faith, the tour promises to be a memorable spiritual experience for gospel fans across Canada.
