Rwandan artist Mugisha Benjamin, popularly known as The Ben, is set to embark on a concert tour across major Canadian cities. This series of performances, beginning February 14, 2025, in Montreal, aims to boost his latest single, 'Plenty', and introduce more fans to his upcoming album.
Following
his much-anticipated New Year’s concert in Rwanda’s BK Arena on January 1, The
Ben will bring his music to Canada, joining the wave of Rwandan artists
performing there. Bruce Melodie recently completed four shows in Canada, and
Kenny Sol has two events planned to promote his single, ‘Phenomenal’. After
Montreal, The Ben is scheduled to perform in Ottawa and conclude his tour in
Edmonton on March 1.
The
Canadian tour is being organized by Euphoria Records, known for helping Rwandan
artists reach Canadian audiences. This partnership is expected to further
expand The Ben’s fanbase and mark the start of his 2025 music engagements.
“It’s
always an honor to connect with fans across the world. I can’t wait to bring
the energy and celebrate our culture together in Canada,” The Ben shared in a
recent statement. His tour follows his participation in the 2023 Rwanda Youth
Convention held in Ottawa, where he last performed in Canada alongside other
Rwandan icons like Massamba Intore.
This
year’s tour is particularly exciting for fans, as The Ben will feature songs
from his new album, including collaborations with international and Rwandan
artists. His Canadian shows will not only highlight his latest work but also
reinforce the cultural ties between Rwandan artists and their global audiences.
As
The Ben continues to bring his music to international stages, fans in Canada
can look forward to a blend of new sounds and the unforgettable experience of
live Rwandan music.
