Renowned Rwandan gospel artist Israel Mbonyi has announced the third edition of his annual "Icyambu Live Concert," set to take place on December 25, 2024. This highly anticipated event offers fans a special way to celebrate Christmas through spiritual worship and connection with God.
The "Icyambu Live
Concert" series, which began in 2022, has seen Mbonyi make history as the
first Rwandan artist to fill the BK Arena. His 2022 concert captivated
audiences for over four hours, and in 2023, he repeated this feat, drawing a
crowd of over 10,000 people.
As one of the most
awaited events on the Rwandan concert calendar, Mbonyi’s shows attract gospel
music lovers who eagerly anticipate his performance every year. On October 18,
2024, the singer teased fans, asking if they were ready for another
unforgettable Christmas concert experience.
In addition to his local
concerts, Mbonyi has expanded his reach internationally, performing in Uganda,
Kenya, and soon in South Africa and Tanzania. He will perform in Dar Es Salaam
on November 2 and 3, 2024, alongside other artists such as Rehema Simfukwe and
Joel Lwanga.
With over 1.44 million
YouTube subscribers, Israel Mbonyi is now Rwanda's most-followed artist,
surpassing Meddy. His increasing popularity across East Africa, particularly
with his Swahili songs, ensures that his BK Arena concerts draw fans from
across the region, including Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
