The Rwanda national football team, Amavubi, has kicked off a training camp in preparation for their upcoming matches against Libya and Benin in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
On August 16, Amavubi's
head coach, Torsten Frank Spittler, released a preliminary squad of 38 players.
From this list, he will select the final team for the two crucial qualifying
matches.
Amavubi will face Libya on September 4, 2024, in Tripoli and then host Benin on September 10, 2024, at Stade Amahoro.
The team, mostly composed of players from Rwanda's top-tier
league, began their training camp on Monday, August 26, 2024, at La Palisse in
Nyamata, Bugesera District.
The Rwandan national team
is set to depart for Libya later this week to prepare for the first of the two
important qualifiers.
