In October 2023, during the Trace Awards held in Kigali, Asake declined to attend despite being nominated, similar to Burna Boy.
Asake's popularity and fee have skyrocketed, with his booking price rising from $65,000 in May 2023 to $500,000 by the end of the year. Recent reports indicate that inviting Asake now costs between Rwf 1.3 billion to Rwf 1.5 billion, with payment arrangements often involving intermediaries who drive up the cost.
Asake's "Lungu Boy World Tour" was announced on June 10, 2024, featuring performances in North America, Europe, and major cities like Washington, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Paris.
