A man who is from South Africa drowned in water in which he was baptized and died at the scene

Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, confirmed of this news by saying that Police in Giyani started investigation into the matter as he confirmed that a man aged 27 drowned in Groot River after being baptized in that river in Groot Letaba in Nwamarhanga on march 18th, 2023.

He added that according to information from believers and their pastor, after carrying out their religious rituals, one among the baptized ones went back to the river to fetch water and drowned after slipping into the water.

Colonel Ledwaba provided further details into the incident by saying a crew of policemen trained in maritime rescue missions in SAPS retrieved the man’s body.
