Dr Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya, the former Minister of Public Service and Labor, has been dismissed from her position. The announcement came on Thursday morning, following a statement from the Prime Minister's office.
The statement reads: "Based on the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda, particularly Article 116; Dr Jeanne d'Arc Mujawamariya was relieved of her duties on July 25, 2024, due to matters she must address."
Dr Mujawamariya had been leading the Ministry of Public Service and Labor (MIFOTRA) since last month, after serving as the Minister of Environment since 2019. The reasons behind her dismissal are currently under investigation.
