Rwandan songstress Ariel Wayz is gearing up to release a new song featuring Butera Knowless as part of her debut album, which focuses on themes of love and other life topics. This marks the first collaboration between the two artists, three years into Ariel's music career.
Ariel and Knowless have
been actively involved in various events promoting President Paul Kagame's
re-election campaign across different provinces of Rwanda. Their partnership
has garnered significant attention and excitement among fans.
On Sunday night, July 21,
2024, Ariel hinted at the collaboration on her social media, teasing lyrics
from their upcoming song "Katira." The song, already recorded, is
awaiting its official release and music video, as confirmed by Ariel's manager,
Eloi.
Ariel attributes her
musical talent to her parents, particularly her mother, a former singer with
the 'Orchestre Ingeri.' Drawing inspiration from artists like Bruno Mars, Ella
Mai, Kamaliza, and Butera Knowless, Ariel has steadily built her career,
participating in "The Voice Afrique Francophone" in 2020 and
performing in various events.
