Eddy Kenzo brings BET AWARD in Kigali- Rwanda.

This artist is also proud of having been from here originally. He says his mother was Rwandese from Butare, the southern part of Rwanda. He goes ahead saying that before he left to United States of America he was from here, and for that sake he had to bring what he got after leaving this country. This artist says that his award is an award to Rwanda as well.

Eddy Kenzo arrived with 7 other people who will help him in his performance and 18 more who took the bus on their way here in Kigali-Rwanda. In his interview with news reporter asked him what sad side of his life can he share, he went along and answered, “There are things that are sorrowful, I lost my mother when I was still very young and I wasn’t able to continue my studies like other kids. And also the only thing I know about her is she’s from Butare, even though I don’t know where the place is. I don’t know my family. That is the sad part of my life”.

In his advice for Rwandan artists he said they should focus more on culture. He said, “You cannot put American or western style in front and expect them to get pleased. Rather they will get pleased and attracted if you made your music in your cultural way from your country. Because the other way round is their style. Rwandan artists should focus on their cultural music style.”

This artist left the airport without his award, he left it with those they came with so that anyone would enjoy it by taking pictures with it and more.
