Three prominent gospel artists, Tonzi, Gaby Kamanzi, and Theo Bosebabireba, have come together to release a new song titled "Rwanda Shima." The song expresses their profound gratitude to God for blessing Rwanda with a remarkable leader, President Paul Kagame.
Released on July 1, 2024,
the 4-minute and 9-second track is a tribute to President Kagame, recognizing
his leadership and urging Rwandans to vote for him in the upcoming presidential
election on July 15, 2024. The chorus of "Rwanda Shima" celebrates
Kagame as a divine messenger who has led Rwanda to great achievements, with the
artists singing, "We thank the one who gave him to us, Apostle Paul who
achieved so much for Rwanda."
Tonzi, known for her worship songs and as the Vice President of the National Council of Artists, calls on Rwandans to thank God for President Kagame, highlighting his role in achieving peace and progress.
Gaby Kamanzi follows by acknowledging the
President's contributions to national security, technology, and unity. Theo Bosebabireba
praises Kagame's focus on infrastructure and the welfare of citizens.
The artists, dressed in
colors representing the RPF-Inkotanyi, convey their support for Kagame while
performing "Rwanda Shima." Tonzi, Gaby, and Theo are the first gospel
artists to release a song dedicated to President Kagame during this election
period, showing their deep appreciation for his leadership and accomplishments
in Rwanda.
