Artist Kalisa Uzabumwana Shariff, known as Shaffy, announced a new song collaboration with fellow musicians Kitoko Bibarwa Patrick (Kitoko) and Emmanuel Nsengiyumva (Emmy), all based in the United States.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Shaffy shared photos on social media showing him with Kitoko and Emmy playing billiards together. In an interview with InyaRwanda, Shaffy confirmed they are working on a new song, which will be released in the near future. "Yes, we are working on it," he stated.

This marks the first time these three artists have collaborated on a song. Among them, Shaffy is the youngest, followed by Emmy and Kitoko, who is the most experienced. Emmy has been absent from the music scene for a while, following his marriage.

His last songs, 'Idantite' and 'Easy,' were released in early 2022. Kitoko's latest release, 'Uri Imana,' came out on December 1, 2023, and has garnered over 500,000 views, expressing gratitude for his academic journey and other life experiences.

Shaffy, who gained prominence with his 2019 hit 'Akabanga' under The Ben's Rockhill label, has been focusing on his solo career since 2020. His October 26, 2023, collaboration 'Bana' with Chriss Eazy became a significant milestone, with over 11 million views.

Recently, Shaffy shared that completing this song required a trip to Rwanda to finalize it. He also visited Rwanda in early May 2024 to work on his upcoming 12-track album with Producer Element from 1:55 AM.
