Artists in six categories—Plastic Arts, Dance & Music,
Fashion, Acting & Drama, Cinematography & Photography, and
Literature—supported in the ArtRwanda - Ubuhanzi, who passed the district-level
auditions will have another opportunity to showcase their talent. Those who
will
triumph at this stage will proceed to the final stages,
where the winners in those categories will receive diverse rewards.
Among 3402 youths who registered for ArtRwanda-Ubuhanzi district-level
auditions, 741 artists have passed and are proceeding to the province stage.
The winners will undergo a year-long incubation programme to groom and grow
their talent and business acumen in order to earn from their crafts.
After this incubation period, the artists will proceed to
the finals that will determine the winner in each category. Three winners in
every category will go home with RWF 1 Million each, and the top three projects
will receive a grant of RWF 10 Million per project.

16 - 18 August:
Auditions in Kayonza District, featuring artists who passed the district-level
auditions in the Eastern Province.
23 - 24 August: Auditions in Rubavu District, featuring
artists who passed the district-level auditions in the Western Province.
26 August: A
resumption of auditions in Rusizi District, featuring artists who passed the
district-level auditions in the Western Province’s districts of Rusizi,
Nyamasheke and Karongi.
30 August - 2
September: Auditions in Huye
District, featuring artists who passed the district-level auditions in the
Southern Province.
7 - 8 September:
Auditions in Musanze District, featuring artists who passed the district-level
auditions in the Northern Province.
13 - 15 September:
Auditions at Rwanda Art Museum in Kanombe, featuring artists who passed the
district-level auditions in the City of Kigali.
